Meet the Team
Putting faces to the names
Credo is run by a small team of health care professionals.
But none of our work would be possible without the support, commitment and dedication of our Trustees and Volunteers. All of whom work as a team to make Credo the successful and dynamic organisation that it is.
Here's your chance to meet our team!
Name: Jehan E. Haddad
Position: Head of Operations
Joined Credo: June 2008
I am a ceramic artist and by joining Credo I am able to share and facilitate the skills I obtained through my studies, practise and work with clay since1999 so others could benefit too.
It never ceases to amaze me how much creativity people hold within, that they might not be aware of but with a bit of help and recognition it starts to surface and flourish. I hope by offering my experience it would help others on their way to recovery so they too can recognize their own unique potential through creativity.

I am now semi-retired, working as a Community Support Worker For the Burgess Autistic Trust on a sessional basis.
Promoting art in mental health has always been a passion and the most fulfilling aspect of my working life.

Previously, I was involved as a volunteer in the
Bromley mental health sector for nearly 30 years - first with Beckenham Mind and then its successor, Bromley Mind.
I have a great respect for charitable organisations and the services they provide. I am also a firm believer in involving members in the running of their organisations and the services it provides - something which Credo does well.
I am very pleased to be involved in a charity like Credo which provides an opportunity for members to use their creativity, not only to make objects, but to gain confidence, develop life skills, experience peer support, make friends and have fun.

As a Credo volunteer also, I assist in sales of work, typing the latest newsletter and assisting members making ceramics, especially for the first time.
I have worked predominantly on social/caring settings, within local housing associations, local authority support network team and a mental health advocacy charity. Previously I campaigned and was active in establishing the Turpington Lane Community Centre. I helped establish and chair the Management Committee and became the Centre's Treasurer.
In addition to my finance and It background, I often advocate for people having problems with housing, benefits, appeals and tribunals.

I first knew of Credo when I worked for Bromley MIND and was fascinated by the designs and the quality of the workmanship, which was very impressive. It was wonderful to see how people grew in confidence and competence. I have worked for The Bromley Community Drugs Project for 3 years and my work involves counselling, relapse prevention and harm minimisation. I have seen the therapeutic value of the Arts, so I am delighted to have this opportunity to work with Credo
Name: Joanne Bailey
Position: Trustee
Joined Credo: October 2011
I have been a Credo member since 2007. During that time I have enjoyed learning different methods and ways of using clay. I do have artistic skills and have participated in courses on woodwork, photography and watercolour painting. In addition, I have also been a peer support volunteer for Bromley MIND. I would recommend Credo to anyone who was in a similar position to me and now feel that I am able to make a contribution to Credo and to new members. I have enjoyed helping and assisting at Credo sales and events and would very much like to be more involved in the chairyt. As one who has benefited from Credo's care and support, I believe that, as a Trustee, I can put forward ideas and views that may be beneficial to the charity and its members.

Joined Credo: November 2008
I have been a volunteer at Credo since Nov 2008.
It has been a wonderful opportunity to learn about ceramics and it has given me the confidence to develop my creative side. It is a privilege to work with motivated and talented people both among the staff and service users. I have loved the opportunity to work on various out reach projects and I find the various sales days and credo outings fun and well organised. I am always amazed at the excellent and innovative quality of the work produced. I am extremely grateful to the Credo
staff for my nomination and following award of "Volunteer of the Year 2010" by Bromley Council for my Outstanding contribution to the organisation.
